MEEKER LEGACY LIVES ON

Our annual Gala showcases the enduring legacy of Ezra Meeker: nationally renowned pioneer, Hop King, philanthropist, and founder of the historic Meeker Mansion.

From salmon bakes, to naming the City Puyallup, to 20th century football championships, Puyallup's cultural heritage spans centuries. The Puyallup Historical Society continues to provide opportunities for the community to celebrate our valley heritage.

ABOUT THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

With a goal of $35 million to design and build the Heritage Center and acquire adjacent parcels, the facility will create bold new spaces on the Meeker Mansion grounds to:

  • Generate sustainable, diversified revenue streams

  • Support long-term preservation and maintenance of Meeker Mansion and the Heritage Center

  • Create jobs and drive economic revitalization in downtown Puyallup's CBD at 3rd and Meeker Ave

  • Create an iconic architectural landmark to celebrate the region’s rich hops history and agricultural roots

  • Serve as a center for education, tourism, and cultural heritage programming

Total funds raised to date:  $1,750,000
